On November 15 and 16, 2024, the evocative Franciscan Cloisters of Ravenna will host the conference entitled “BYRON 1824 – 2024: PAROLE, SUONI, IMMAGINI – WORDS, SOUNDS, IMAGES” organized by the Italian Byron Society.
Ravenna is now officially the headquarters of the Italian Byron Society, affiliated with the prestigious International Association of Byron Societies, which promotes the dissemination of Byronic scholarship worldwide by organizing conferences, debates, events, exhibitions, scholarships, and any other initiative aimed at raising awareness of the English poet’s life and works. Ravenna thus becomes the Italian capital of these studies, and its official headquarters will be Palazzo Guiccioli, which hosted the poet and witnessed the creation of some of his most important works between 1819 and 1821. Starting October 26, the Palazzo will also house the Byron Museum.
