The Byron and Risorgimento Museums are increasingly prominent in the major international press: a comprehensive feature on the British poet, his Romantic adventures and Risorgimento activism is highlighted on the digital front pages of The Telegraph, the prestigious London newspaper founded in 1855, with one million subscriptions across print and digital editions.
William Cook, who was part of the international delegation of journalists present at Byron’s birthday celebration on January 22, reconstructs the entire Byron story in Ravenna in an extensive article titled “The unspoilt city where Byron fell in love”. He masterfully describes the poet’s figure and places associated with him, alternating literary quotes with references to his own personal fascination.
The Byron and Risorgimento Museums are also appearing in other media outlets, thanks to Maev Kennedy, the journalist who, after a group visit to the Byron Museum, requested to return for a second, more in-depth individual visit. She dedicated a beautiful feature to the Museums in The Art Newspaper, a highly prestigious magazine based in London and New York, founded by the Turin-born entrepreneur Umberto Allemandi, and known especially for art, tourism, architecture, and culture.
In her words, Maev conveys the enchantment and surprise inspired by her visit—from Byron’s study to the digital immersions in the atmosphere of the era—telling the story of these two worlds, old and new, capturing the magic of a visit that is not only about art and culture but also emotion and enchantment.
Two and a half months after their inauguration, the Byron and Risorgimento Museums are gaining increasing attention: after coverage by The Times and The Guardian, and extensive reports on radio and television stations worldwide, two more prestigious outlets highlight the Museums dedicated to Byron and the Risorgimento.
The arrival of spring sees the multiplication of bookings and arrivals of tourists, scholars, enthusiasts, and visitors from all over the world.
