The Byron and Risorgimento Museums have reached another significant global platform, securing a prominent space for the first time not only outside Europe but also beyond the vast English-speaking world. Agencia Reforma has dedicated an extraordinary report to the Museums of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna. This represents a formidable multiplier of contacts, as it is the largest media company in Mexico and Latin America, publishing ten newspapers in five different cities with a total circulation of 1.4 million copies.
The first newspapers to pick up the Agencia Reforma report were El Imperial, a media outlet specialized in culture and literature topics, which devoted a feature titled “Romantic Setting” to the Byron and Risorgimento Museums, and Zócalo Saltillo, a mainstream newspaper, which published an article titled “Restoring Lord Byron’s Old House as a Museum.” Both articles confirm how knowledge and interest in Byron are widespread and inspire passion also around the Latin American world, both for his literary production and for his adventurous and Romantic aspects, particularly dear to Central and South American literature.
Moreover, these articles confirm that the decision to dedicate the Museums to Byron and the Risorgimento—now a destination for thousands of tourists from around the world—has powerfully focused new international interest on Italy and on one of the most beloved moments of its history and literature.
The photo of the courtyard of Palazzo Guiccioli, prominently featured in both articles, represents the enchanting vista about to open up to a series of important visits that, this spring, will shine new and significant spotlights on the Museums owned by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna, strongly supported by then-president Lanfranco Gualtieri and the President of Cassa di Ravenna Antonio Patuelli.
